That Varier Move Stool is pretty "NEAT"! November 01 2017

We have been writing and proposing for many years that movement while seated (Active Seating) is a way for people who sit for long periods to improve the health of their body. Stagnant long term sitting definitely has negative affects on the sitter and we now have validation and quantification of that belief. We are pleased to let you know that the Varier Move Stool has received certification that it meets the Mayo Clinic's standards for its NEAT™ certification program by going through their qualitative and quantitative testing.

NEAT™ stands for the science of Non-Exercise Activity Thermogenesis, developed by Mayo Clinic. The philosophy (and the real science that backs it up) is that small changes to daily habits can mean BIG things when it comes to overall health and wellness. It’s the same philosophy that inspired the thinking behind the Varier Move stool.
